I love capturing my subjects grit and singular focus while in the moment.
Photography has been a side passion of mine for many years - decades. I remember having to buy flash cubes and twist into the top of the camera and hope for the best. When injuries from running forced me to the sideline, I was stir crazy and needed to somehow be a part of event. The people and the positive environment are addictive. I decided to launch into sports photography. As an ultrarunner myself, I have been known to run with my camera and take pictures at the same time. This gives me more opportunity to shoot in multiple locations on the course. I also love capturing the G.R.I.T. and determination of athletes in any setting whether it be running, swimming, softball, track or chasing greased pigs at a county fair.
